my boyfriend is taller than me... but then again most people are taller me so i guess it's what i'm used to. i don't think it would bother me to the point to which i would break up with my boyfriend if he were shorter than me, but i can't honestly be sure. i guess it's all a matter of what you like and are comfortable with.

I consider myself short, so if he's shorter than me, it's probably a no go. But guys that are shorter than me are few and in between.

As a fairly short (5 foot 7/8) guy, I still don't really like the imagery of a shorter guy than girl. I mean, obviously, it's not a big enough deal to determine the fate of a relationship, but still, I wouldn't generally be attracted to a girl who was taller than me. Especially because I'm slim, which kind of doubles the effect.

I dunno. whatever floats your boat, I guess. I mean, it's not less reasonable to be put off by a guy/girl's height than by any other aspect of their physical appearance, I suppose.

Sometimes height does matter. It can create confidence in somepeople such as if a guy were shorter than a girl, that can cause the guy to question his masculinity. Same thing for a girl, if she were taller than maybeshe might feel uncomfortable. Although i don't care much for height, its the personality.

I have two guy friends that are shorter than I am, and even as friends I think it's a little odd that I am taller than them. I'm not THAT much taller than them, just enough that it makes me feel werid.

I'm 5'2", and my girlfriend is 5'7". And neither of us are superficial enough to care about something like a height difference.

lol HEIGHT DOES NOT MATTER AND NEVER WILL!! I mean as long as you guys are committed to eachother, it shouldn't even be a problem really. :P
Just don't care about what people think! If they say haha. he's shorter than you. Say Haha you're taller than me but I don't see myself liking you.

My boyfriend and I are the same height. We're both like.. 5"3. o.o Well yeah. We both stopped growing. Hahahaha

It's always better to have them taller but you know. If they're not, who gives a s~hit. XD

Why do people have the traditional feeling that men should be the tallest in the couple? I never understood it?

I guess it's the girls wanting to be protected by a bigger man so they can feel safe?

I would PREFER a taller guy.

There is nothing wrong with boyfriend's being shorter then the girlfriend.

My opinion, of course, is I'd like the guy to be taller then me.

I'm 5'4 and a half going on 5'5 so I'm pretty sure there's quite a few guys that are taller then me.

To me, I don't really think height matters. I have a friend who has a mother who is incrediably tall and her dad is just a little bit average sized. I think its cute, because I don't believe that the guy always has to be the taller one in the realtionship. As long as the girl is confiendent in herself, I don't see what the problem is. Height should not effect love! biggrin.gif

...unless, he/she is so short that they need a ladder to kiss ya.... shifty.gif

I'm a sophomore 5'2 1/2 and don't let it get to me when I like a girl if they're a little taller. To me you just have to be confident, and looks help to tongue.gif plus I got time to grow.

I prefer having a guy taller than me. I'm about 5'4" so there aren't too many guys that are shorter than me. My boyfriend is about 5'11" and it's the perfect height difference I think.

Height still wouldn't be a deciding factor in a relationship for me. but it would be kind of strange to go out with a guy shorter than 5'4"...

personally, i'd prefer someone who's taller than me.
but i'm 5'8 so not all guys are taller than me.
but if i really love him then height shouldn't matter.

the idea of height being an important factor depends on the people. I personally refuse to date anyone shorter than me & I don't even like same height because that's short for a guy; I wear heels & I don't want to tower over the guy I'm with...midgets are not my thing...average isn't my thing. 6'0-6'6 in guys is the perfect height to me.

I don't think height is too important, but I'd prefer someone taller than me. Which I've found isn't a very hard group to fit into, seeing as I'm only 5'3"/4" tall.
