OK, I can't figure out if these are a scam or not... I clicked a Google ad (which usually means they're trying to sell me something....)

which took me here
http://www.ws6alert.com/index.php?ntrk=1123000025

an article about some woman who whitened her teeth.

I've never heard of Ws6Alert before, is it reliable?

There are two links at the bottom of the article

https://www.cleanwhites.com/?partner=_promo
^That one is an HTTPS, which means it's secure, but it uses a completely fake count-down timer that restarts if you close the page and go back to it.

http://www.dazzlesmilepro.com/index.php#keepreading
^ but this one does not have that.

They both look very professional, but they both seem too desperate to get my money.

Is it a scam?

Aye ninja, why don't you just spend $35 on the crest whitestrips (advanced seal)? Seriously, that ish works.

I feel like it's a scam, especially since I see that ad everywhere. I think it's shady enough that they place that advertisement (about the mother finding out a secret using a sample that you can get for free, etc.) everywhere, especially on ad spaces that show other scam-like ads.

those strips taste so bad.

I tried Crest White Stripes a long time ago, and they didn't stay on my teeth. Maybe they've changed them to be better. My friend and I tried the "professional" teeth whitening kit: http://www.amazon.com/Optimized-Professional-Whitening-Enamel-Booster/dp/B0013TO92M/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1251506861&sr=8-4 and it worked way better than Crest ever did. I don't have enough patience to wear white strips two times a day, anyways.

woah and that's cheaper too^

those white strips are baddddd and GROSS sick.gif

I know, we tried it 'cause it's cheap! It took me two times of using it to get really good results. Now I just use it whenever I notice my teeth aren't as vibrant as before.

Those strips are just baking soda in strip form.
Rinse with 1 part water 1 part hydrogen peroxide. It really works.
And these work to.

Crest Vivid White Toothpaste works really well too =]

Scam, it's everywhere. Also, notice there are virtually no grammatical errors in the comments down below, which means real people didn't write them.
They're robottttsssss.

Also also, brush your teeth twice a day if you arent already. and some people have naturally yellower teeth.

No, they are usually Hydrogen Peroxide, but in a smaller amount than if you went to your dentist to get your teeth whitened, that's why you have to wear them for as long as you do.

Really? I didn't think they tasted bad or anything. To each his own, I guess. ;P

Dee - I noticed results after using one box. I used it back in high school (~6 years ago) and everyone was like "omg you have such white teeth" because even though I brushed my teeth twice a day in the past and used whitening toothpaste, my teeth were still really yellow. I did notice my teeth feeling a little dull, so I bought another box a year or two ago and use it. They're still pretty white though, but this is my own personal experience. My friend bought a value pack from costco and used it, but his teeth still looked yellow. I didn't use the whitestrips religiously though - Sometimes I did it every other day because I would forget, lol.

The Optimized Professional kit looks interesting though, based on the comments/ratings posted. I'll give it a try if my teeth start to look dull - although I wish I can whiten my molars in the back. That's okay though, since no one really sees them when I smile. ;P Thanks for the link.

^ Yeah, my teeth were never really yellow... just dull. I used the Optimized kit twice (30 minutes, two days in a row) and my teeth look like http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k317/whimsical0dreamz/random/yellow-1.jpg. The syringes are kinda odd. You might want to track down something else to put the gel in because the mouth things that come with it are crappy and aren't going to work if you have a smaller mouth. Whatchu talkin' bout, your teeth never show when you smile :P

i used Aquafresh White Trays. They seemed to work but they're a pain to put in, since they're made very small.. meaning they'll only do the front 4..

Smaller mouth, or smaller teeth? Gah looking at your picture, I wish I had straight teeth. pinch.gif

lul wut? I always be grinnin' my toothy grin!

Posted by: karmakiller Sep 9 2009, 11:48 PM

lol I know, I was just kidding. I love your toothy grin!

I have a smaller mouth (lets hope no pervs read that) and the trays are solid so there's really no way to shape them to fit your mouth. They are seriously rock hard. I tried the boiling trick, but then I just said forget it and scraped the goo off my friends unused Aquafresh tray and used that instead. The gel is stronger than the crest gel, but it didn't burn when I got it on my gums. They give you a ton of gel, so I'm just storing it in my fridge like they say you should do... lol a syringe in my fridge, how creepy.
