how to crop an image perfectly |

how do you crop the image perfectly? for example this heart brush that is pink and orange in the top right corner.

You can't just crop it because there is a bckground. You're lucky though because the original background is white so you can use the eraser tool or even brush tool to get rid of the swirls. You don't have to crop it afterwards either. Just make a selection of it and define it as a brush.

.... Does Photoshop have the magnetic lasso tool? If so, use that... It shoul be able to find the nearest edge and latch on to it, althought it might take a couple of tries to get it right. Use the eraser tool to fix it up.

Did you get permission to use that image? You can try the eraser, or maybe the magnetic lasso?
