As a lot of people seem to post about certain results here and there, I decided to make a thread were you talk about results. Any kind of sporting result you want,

Soccer
American Football
Baseball
Basketball
Boxing
Hockey
Wrestling
Volleyball

etc.

Soccer:
Celtic 3-0 Rangers

Dull game, great result. Hartson on 12 minutes, Balde on 56 and Mc Geady on 60. Amazing to see an entire stand chanting "easy!" and clapping their hands. Simply phenomenal.

Bank of Scotland Scottish Premier League Table
P GD PTS
1) Celtic 15 29 38
2) Hearts 15 21 36
3) Hibernian 15 11 31
4) Rangers 15 7 23
5) Kilmarnock 15 1 20
6) Motherwell 15 -3 19
7) Aberdeen 15 0 18
8) Inverness CT 15 -2 18
9) Falkirk 15 -12 16
10) Dundee Utd 15 -9 14
11) Livingston 15 -22 8
12) Dunfermline 15 -21 5

So, I'm a Celtic fan and we're top of the table! (Most Irish people will support Scottish teams because of the poor soccer quality here in Ireland). Our big rivals Rangers are having a terrible year, while Hearts are having one of the greatest years in their history. (P= Games Played, GD= the difference between how many a team has scored and how many a team has conceded, and PTS=Points)

In case you don't know, this is how it works:
Win=3 points
Draw= 1 point
Lose= 0 points

(How many games played is on the left, goal difference is in the centre, and points is on the right)

Celtic 0-1 Dunfermline

Disgraceful performance. Top of the league and lost at home to the team who are bottom of the league. With out Japenese sensation Shunsuke Nakamura, we were dreadful.

Second place Hearts got a penalty in the last minute (DAMN!) in a seperate game, so we're still a point ahead.

EDIT:

Hibernian 2-1 Rangers
Always nice to see your biggest rivals get defeated. That win keeps it a three horse race at the top. Hibernian were simply better than Rangers today.

A double win for Smackdown in the SD Vs. RAW matches at Survivor Series. They're really trying to promote the new Friday night Smackdown slot.

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event is returning. From 1985-1992 it was a very rare, special wrestling event held only every six months. IT will be on NBC. It is all part of the deal which brought WWE Raw back to the USA Network.

Honestly... how could people think that UCLA actually had a chance against USC?

Lets see... Denver turned down the Heat today in Miami with Boykins draining the much needed three. (Yeah!!)
D: 101
M: 99

Also the Raptors topple the Nets with a 13 point blowout 95-82 :D

^Heck yes!

AWWW..the Broncos lost to Kansas City 27-31. cry.gif DAMN IT.

Another bad day for Colorado..
Avs lost 6-4 v. Sabres at Colorado. fallen.gif
DAMN!! They tried so hard!! The Avs were down 4-1, and came back to tie it 4-4..argh. I hope they win next time!!

I swear..if two Colorado teams play on the same day and one of them loses, the other one is sure to lose as well. SUCKS.

Oh my god I love it. Miami... wheres the heat? Guys are looking pretty cold!!
Clippers straight out whooped the Heat 99-89
No doubt the player of the game being Brand with 37 points, 12 rebounds, and six blocked shots shutting Miami down!!

In other NBA news the bulls lost to the Mavs but also lost Key player... Kirk Hinrich who left the building a little more then three minutes after tipoff. His leaving only led the team to step it up as Ben Gordon and Luol Deng continued their stellar play off the bench scoring 26 and 25 points respectively. Yet still lost to the Dallas Mavericks... 102-94.

Also the Timberwolves played dominating defense on their way to a 91-77 victory in Utah on Monday. Minnesota held the Jazz to under 38 percent field-goal shooting, allowing just 34 points in the second half. Wally Szczerbiak stayed hot, scoring 26 points on 8-of-16 shooting, including 3-of-5 from downtown. Kevin Garnett chipped in 21 points. The win was the Timberwolves' third-straight to start a four-game road trip, which concludes in Portland on Wednesday.

Rangers 1-1 Inter Milan

AHHHHH! NO, NO, NO! The first team in Scotland to make it through to the Last 16 of the Champions LEague and they did it with 7 points. We (Celtic) got 9 points and didn't qualify. It just shows how poor Rangers' group was, I suppose.

World Cup draw 2006 has been made.

QUOTE
More people watch the superbowl every year than the world cup

Taken for a different thread

Literally HUNDREDS times more people watch the World Cup every year, the Superbowl attracts a small North American interest, while the World Cup attracts interest LITERALLY(sp?) ALL over the world.

So, I'm starting to think that my theory on the Avs and Nuggets is right. sad.gif

Denver Nuggets lost to Orlando Magic 94-83 at Orlando.

Colorado Avalanche fell short to Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3. What a good game, though. The rookies were gooood. Sidney Crosby is...whoa. CUTE.
