have you ever worn something years before it got popular, got teased about it, and years later everyone started doing the same thing?

Right after christmas I bought a red, black, green and yellow tam hat, adn got CRUCIFIED when I wore it to school. I got totally chewed out about wearing a "rastafarian" hat, but two weeks later about six people were wearing the same type of hat. I hate it when that happens.

Most of my clothes and my brothers are from Europe and when it comes to fashion they are really ahead. people, always teased us, but now its more normal. Like no one used to where vnecks when we were but now people do.

i'm not sure if this is one, but i feel that cardigans
are really popular now than ever before since the vintage look
is so in now.
I started wearing cardigans a lot with cute tees or camis under.
Many people said I looked like a old granny, but now i see alot of girls and guys wearing cardigans. > <

laugh.gif I'm sorry. It's just that your profile indicates that you're 16 years old. Those old rasta looking hats are as old or older than I am (and I'm 33 years old).

A simple note about trendsetting - it's very rare for someone of common stature to truly set a "trend." Someone before you has done it, someone before you has been mocked for it and sometime in the future, someone will be considered "cool" for wearing it.

It sucks, but that's just the way it is.

PS - I appreciate "Let it Be" on your profile. It's a favorite of mine. If you're a Beatles fan, hit me up sometime. I can chat Beatles for hours. Also, I'm a Lennon person, for the record. haha :)

Thanks for looking at my profile biggrin.gif . I'm not really a big beatles fan, I just dabble, and heard some of their songs I thought were pretty awesome. But of what I have heard (Only about 5 songs) I like the phase in their career when they song the old early 60s style way, teh "Beatlemania" days.

Seriously, the same trends come and go over and over again.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but you did not "wear it before it was cool", nor did you start anything.
