Ha ha the createBlog logo thing doesn't even have to be all that noticeable even. It could be as inconspicuous as one of those little animals they use, like the Abercrombie moose.
Just a little icon that shows the design was from createBlog, in case anyone notices. |

Aeropostale is crap quality. I had a few things back from junior year of high school, but I've sworn off their clothing because it's crap -- feels like the crap I see at forever 21. Of course I haven't been in an aero store for a year now, so IDK if they upped their quality. What does the GAP logo on a shirt look like? The blue box with a the white words GAP on it? Anyways, I wouldn't mind wearing a cB shirt if it has something cool on it. But of course, createBlog ain't no threadless, so it will depend on what kind of graphic will be on the shirt and the shirt is of good quality (based on reviews). I ain't 'fraid to represent, na'mean? regardless of these presumptions? Hardly anyone would buy this shirt with the following reasons: - it tells people that you have no life - it means you're obbessed with createblog website - you are an active member of this website - createblog is an odd "brand name" - unpopular - people would question it ... - teacher/adults would think you're stupid because cB does seem to be "stupid" when all these lame topics - invades the boundary of REAL LIFE AND INTERNET LIFE. a shirt without "createblog" is SOMETHING you would buy, if it looks tight. |

So would we have rounds of different themes or for a Createblog Redesign T-shirt contest?
I personally wouldn't care, but I'd say whoever the winner is we could get put it on a t-shirt and have it sent to them for free. |

Honestly, I assume everyone is ashamed of representing unpopular brand name. You normally don't see people wearing clothes that clearly label "OLD NAVY" on their sweater because it doesn't appeal as much as Hollister or A&F. High brand names are considered socially acceptable and comfortable to represent. Although old navy clothes are cheaper to buy and POPULAR, but people wont buy in the name of it. I have a few shirts from old navy, but I make sure they don't say Old Navy for some odd reasons. I have a sweater that says aeropostale which is acceptable in social outings so i FEEL comfortable showing "aeropostale". I was always taught that it is tacky to go out and buy clothes with the brand name advertised on it...but maybe that is just me... I think the idea could work if it was something similiar to the things in the Deviantart store. As in, it can be just about anyone's art that they submit, and maybe just put a small CB logo somewhere on the shirt if you must. But then where would the money go? 100% towards the cost of production? |

I was always taught that it is tacky to go out and buy clothes with the brand name advertised on it...but maybe that is just me... Definitely not just you. I really don't think wearing a logo of a "popular" brand would make me at all comfortable, perhaps because I don't feel the need to be a complete conformist? And Tung, please be kidding about paying $50 for a brand name t-shirt. I like the idea of just a general t-shirt contest, a la threadless or something. |

regardless of these presumptions? Yes. Unlike many others, I don't wear clothes specifically because of their brand -- as long as the material is of good quality and I find it cute. My dislike for Aeropostale is the crap quality. I'd rather pay more for the sake of higher quality and better fitting. As long as it has a nice graphic on it and cafepress shirts are of good material, then it's all good. I have not ordered any clothes from cafepress yet, so if anyone has, please let me know. But I am not one of those people who are ashamed because a certain non-name brand is deemed "unpopular" or that we have "no life". The same can be said about anime shirts, but I will still wear them. Heck, I even bought my boyfriend a Giant Robot shirt, and not very many people know what Giant Robot is (NOT to be confused with Kid Robot). Well I have paid $40 for a simple t-shirt (very thin material, but high quality) that I got from Guess. It's green, NO LOGOS so people would not know it's a Guess shirt, and it has two buttons near the collar (not a polo or anything). It's one of my favorite shirts and it fits so well, so I think it's worth it. |

are you rich?
----- Yes. I'm very aware of people who are like that, but it will always be safe not to emphasis any/ too much createblog-ness because people who buy by brand/not by brand WOULD ACTUALLY purchase this. Generally speaking, people are brand-sensitive. &btw, i have 2 aero because they were so cheap + brands seem to be "acceptable" at my school + made out of typical cottons(i think). Anyways, it would also be okay to have createblog at the back & bottom, I think. |

well as far as my opinions go, I dont really care if the designs get featured on the shirts [because like JC said] not everyone has credit cards, although I have enough money in my paypal to buy that shirt, I have to pay for my hosting, but anyways, lets just design for fun then :] and whatever Jusun wants to do with the winning design, he can choose to do [thats if he ever logs in again] :] but yea :]

The second half of the sentence is unclear? I am not sure what you mean. What I'm trying to say is although there are people who are brand-conscious, there are plenty who are not. There are plenty of people who don't want to wear clothes plastered with "socially-accepted" logos. It just seems like you are undermining the community, that is all. Regardless, it's not as if we need the createBlog logo to be shown. If something's going to vectorized, it might work out, and it makes it unique. More and more people are starting to stray away from shirts that only have logos on them. Look at all the people who own threadless shirts, for example. |
